I joined this community to get a better idea of the whole concept, and admittedly I haven't paid as much attention as I had intended to (I need to make more time for following topics I'm interested in). Occasionally I do go back and reread too. I guess I'm asking you to forgive me if this is out of place, but I saw and instantly thought I should post it. I can't hear the sound at work, so this may just be a crap little pop culture myths bit from Yahoo...but true or not I guess it could fit into the conversation here.

I had just finished watching this clip when I opened email and saw this post, lol. It's rather horrifying isn't it? There likely would have been very little corn in paleo man's diet, though I'm sure he ate it when he found it. Pretty scary to hear that as much as 58% of the carbon in this guy's diet comes from corn, huh? I've been thinking about it and though I don't eat any packaged foods or anything containing corn, I'm pretty sure I eat beef from corn-fed cows sometimes- and I definitely eat farm-raised salmon on occasion. What's most important to me is that it be cruelty-free, but often I can't find grass-fed. If you add in the fact that most corn crops these days are genetically modified, making them far more allergenic, I think it's a nightmare that the American diet contains so much.
